The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and the hotel had character.
We would have loved to eat there but found the meals a bit pricey. We stayed in room #24. The shade on the entry door flapped during the night. It was the ceiling fan causing it to do so. I would suggest a better way of keeping light out of the room.

The food and service in the restaurant was excellent.
The very strong smell of mould in our room (#2 from memory, near the back door under the stairs). Also coming out of the room I would have preferred not to have to look at the laundry bags piled up under the stairs.
